The building looks shabby and in desperate need of a paint job. Unattended check-in process was frustrating, with no clear registration desk and communication issues due to poor phone reception in the remote area. The mattress feels old and overly soft, resulting in uncomfortable sleep. No hot breakfast options available, making it hard for guests in such a secluded location to find morning refreshments.

Staying at Blue Bear Inn was a delightful experience. The stunning hillside location provided breathtaking views of the valley, and our Deluxe Queen Room was cozy, allowing us to enjoy morning coffee while soaking in the scenery. Dinner at the onsite Tavern was a highlight, featuring a delicious seasonal pumpkin ravioli and a friendly atmosphere with engaging service from Brian.

Brian, the bar manager, made the evening fun with engaging conversations. However, we faced a bit of a hiccup with the shared bathroom, which could be noisy and might not suit those who are sensitive to sounds. Also, the remote location makes accessing other dining options challenging, as we would have loved a hot breakfast to complement the lovely stay. Overall, these minor issues didn't overshadow the fantastic hospitality we received, but they bring opportunities for improvement.

Unpleasant Experience with Overpriced Stay

We experienced significant issues during our one-night stay. The reservation was mishandled, resulting in added fees. Interactions with staff were inconsistent, and basic amenities like the toaster and microwave failed. I recommend checking the reservation confirmation closely before arrival to avoid unnecessary hassles.

What a nice surprise this place was! We indulged in some relaxing time in the sun terrace and enjoyed the outdoor pool, making our stay so much better. The only small issue was some outdated furniture, but it didn’t take away from our overall great experience! 🌞
